Affiliate Marketing Programs

As a long-time affiliate marketer, I’ve participated in a lot of different affiliate marketing programs. Some are great and some not so much. Many different programs have some of the same retailers but commissions can vary widely from program to program. Since commission rates can and do change often it pays to be a part of several different programs. Not to mention, most programs offer special bonuses from time to time.

While everyone has their own opinions, I’m not a fan of Impact and Rakutan’s affiliate marketing programs. Impact requires approval for each individual brand. Getting approved can be hard. Impact allowed their retailers to miss payment deadlines without penalty. Rakuten just didn’t have enough brands that were good fits for my audience. Meeting the payout thresholds took a long time.

Here’s a list of my favorite current affiliate marketing programs:

Amazon Associates

Amazon is king when it comes to affiliate marketing programs. With Amazon’s huge customer base, awesome website and thousands of products to promote your earning your potential is huge. This program allows you to earn commissions from every country for which Amazon has a dedicated website. One drawback to the Amazon Associates program is that their terms are strict and can be confusing. Check out this opportunity here.

Mavely

This program offers a large number of large well-known brands to promote. Several brands offer double digit commissions. Mavely offers some cool tools to make promoting easier. You can create an online shop and they have a browser extension to help you promote your favorite stores and deals. I’ve done fairly well in this program in a short period of time earning some nice bonuses along the way. If you would like to check it out you can here.

Shop Your Likes

With major well-known retailers this program offers various ways to earn. Users can take part in the commission base program and or the pay per click program. I’ve done fairly well with this program. I like the ready made deals you can simple create a link for and start promoting right away. If you sign up now you can earn a $100 bonus. Shopstyle Collective

This program is very popular but I’ve not used it much yet. They do have a large selection of brands to promote. Just browse their list of deals, create a link and post the deal. This saves me a load of time by not having to search out deals to post. ShopStyle also has smartphone apps for those who work off of their phone. Check them out here.

Howl

I just recently joined this fairly new affiliate marketing program. Howl offers a big selection of brands to promote. Some are big national brands and some are smaller lesser known brands. The smaller brands can help set you apart from the others promoting deals. Faster payment is one of the big benefits to this program. I’ve heard, but haven’t confirmed yet, that influencers can post deals in private groups using Howl. If you would like to apply for this program you can here.

Cactus Media

This one is a little different. Cactus pays flat rate commissions for driving membership and free trial signups. Most of their brands are top national brands. They offer some brands that you must apply for. Commissions can be as much as $60 for a single signup. It’s pretty easy to start making commissions in no time. BrandCycle

This program has hundreds of brands to promote. I’m pretty impressed with some of the big names. While not huge they do have a list of updated promotions for you to grab links quickly and post. Their no fluff website makes quick and efficient work of creating links. The reporting page is very detailed and has several handy options.
